We are serious meditators! Traditional meditation is still-mind meditation...and after a while of practice, that stillness begins to show us what self is, what ego is, what our limitations are, and how to handle all of those things with mindful awareness, kindness and better options in life.
The room at Blackburn, dedicated to Meditation and Mindfulness, is an extension of the Australian College of Classical Yoga. All of us, however – students, teachers and training staff – regard meditation as the intrinsic practice of Yoga, and, historically, the original asana was the position you took for meditation.
Learn Still-Mind Meditation and Mindfulness
Find out ways to keep yourself steady in awareness rather than reaction - learn the methods of still-mind meditation, and mindfulness in every day life. 6 week program. Morning session at 10.00am or evening session at 6.30pm
Learn Resilience Flexibility and Problem solving
A two-part, 8 week program that gives you insight into why we are un-resilient and problem-maintaining, and the means to make a difference. 10.00 am - 12.30 pm or 6.30 pm -9.00 pm
